Motor Kiwi was founded to reinvent the motor trade. The automotive industry is changing, and luxury vehicle sales deserve more love. Our founder, Amy Leigh, decided to build a platform that focuses on the shift into the new way to sell while staying personal.

‘Growing up in the motor trade and years of watching owners struggle to sell their vehicles on their own, buyers struggling to navigate the options they had – wasted weekends, risk of scammers, tyre kickers and low-ball offers – I knew I had to find a solution.

Motor Kiwi takes the pain of vehicle sales, combines extensive knowledge in the trade and marketing with a boatload of ambition for prestige, collector or rare cars to bring you a friendly face in the industry to facilitate the entire journey of buying or selling your luxury asset.

Do you buy my vehicle?

We offer Private assisted sales, which means we can help you get retail price for your vehicle. We have extensive knowledge in the industry and the platforms to help you sell your vehicle easier. It gives buyers peace of mind buying from a reputable motor trader and saves you the hassle of selling privately.

Do I have to bring my vehicle to you?

No, unless you want to. We aim to keep the process of selling your vehicle simple for you. We will come out to your location so you don’t even need to move a muscle!

How do I get paid for my vehicle?

Once a buyer has agreed to purchase your vehicle, we take a consultation fee from the buyer to secure the vehicle until collection. Upon collection of your vehicle, the buyer will pay you in full on the day.

How do you determine the price?

We price each vehicle individually based on the information and pictures you provide, combined with our extensive experience in the industry. This ensures you get a personalized and fair offer. We advertise our vehicles at a competitive price looking at the market to help a smooth, quick sale.

Is there a charge for your service?

Yes, once a buyer has decided to go ahead with the sale, we take a commission for our service. When providing you with a price, we will let you know how much you’ll walk away with after our commission.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Yorkshire and the surrounding local areas including Greater Manchester and Northumberland. If your vehicle is located outside these areas, please contact us for a bespoke quote.

What Vehicles & Machinery do you take?

We specialise in a wide range of vehicles and machinery such as luxury cars, sports cars, old classics, pickup trucks, camper vans, vans and agricultural equipment & machinery as long as the value is above £15,000.

How much will I get for my vehicle?

We aim to achieve the best possible retail price for your vehicle or machinery. Our team uses market data and industry expertise to provide an accurate valuation.

How long will it take?

The timeframe can vary depending on the type of machinery or vehicle and market demand. On average, the process from listing to sale takes a few weeks. We’ll keep you updated the whole way.

What if my vehicle doesn't sell?

If your vehicle or machinery doesn’t sell in the initial agreed timeframe we can discuss extending the listing period. Our goal is to ensure a successful sale for you.

Can I still use my vehicle while you sell it?

Yes, you can continue to use your machinery or vehicle while we help you sell it. We will let potential buyers know it is still in use and coordinate viewings at your convenience to minimise disruption.

Unlike dealerships that offer lower trade price, and auctions where final sales prices can be unpredictable, Motor Kiwi aims to achieve the best retail price for your vehicle or machinery. Our service is hassle-free, with professional handling and secure transactions.

Is there a contract or commitment period?

Yes, there is a contract outlining the terms of our service. The commitment period can vary, but er strive to sell your vehicle within a reasonable timeframe, and keep you informed throughout.
